According to the CDC, over 80% of moms initiate breastfeeding, but only 24.9% (2017) reach the AAP guidelines for exclusive breastfeeding by 6 months old. Evidence shows that the fastest drop off in breastfeeding rates occurs in the first 10 days after hospital discharge due to lack of timely interventions**. Expectant moms receive 10 months of prenatal care. We want to continue that same type of care all moms need after their baby is born.
Our services start during pregnancy and continue throughout the first year.
We are passionate about educating, supporting, and setting moms up for success!
**Healthy Children Project, Inc.
I started Mom’s Breast Friend because I wanted to provide the postpartum care that all moms deserve. As a mom of 2, I know how important early support and community is for breastfeeding success.
As a mom of 3 who struggled to breastfeed my first, I know first hand how challenging it can be. It is my goal to help and support all moms that want to breastfeed their babies.
